ROLE PURPOSE
In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining our development and operations workflows, with a focus on automation, scalability, and reliability. You will work as part of a cross-functional Agile/Scrum team, collaborating with developers, infrastructure engineers, product owners, and application owners to streamline CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud and onpremise environments, and ensure that systems are built with operational excellence and resilience in mind. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about modern DevOps practices, values continuous improvement, and brings a thoughtful approach to integrating operational and security considerations throughout the software development lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain automation tools to streamline application builds, testing, and deployments
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support frequent, reliable, and efficient software releases
• Manage and support container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
• Assist in the integration and operation of service mesh, API gateways, and other cloud-native technologies (e.g., Istio, WSO2)
• Collaborate with development teams to understand technical requirements and translate them into scalable automation and infrastructure solutions
• Work within an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver continuous improvements and support iterative development cycles
• Contribute to the stability, scalability, and performance of deployment and infrastructure environments

Knowledge & Skill

• Strong understanding of application lifecycle and product journeys
• Proficiency in coding and scripting for automation tools
• Ability to translate business and technical processes into automated solutions
• Solid working knowledge of deployment and infrastructure technologies
• Familiarity with developer workflows, including frequent releases, testing, and deployment cycles
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration and deployment tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm

Experience

• Proven experience developing engineering solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipeline design and implementation
• Working knowledge of Agile principles and Scrum methodology
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and disciplines
• Exposure to Kubernetes, Helm, Istio, and API Gateway technologies
• Experience in the banking or financial services sector is a plus
• Background in software development is advantageous
• Experience with cloud platforms and services
• Familiarity with cloud-native tools and microservices architecture
